Dagnall Needs Games - Flitcroft

28 November 2013

Reds Manager David Flitroft has sent striker Chris Dagnall on loan to League One Coventry City in a bid to keep the striker match-ready.

The 27-year-old has struggled to break into the first-team following the partnership of Chris O'Grady and Marcus Pedersen, so penned a loan deal with the Sky Blues until January 5th, 2014.

Dagnall celebrating his first league goal for the Reds in January against Leeds United.

"It's good to get him out there playing games and into a rhythm," said Flitcroft. "Daggers hasn't played for 12 weeks and he wants games. He's hungry and it's a positive thing that he has gone out because he can come back ready."

Coventry sit in 13th position in League One, and Dagnall looks set to feature at MK Dons on Saturday - a ground where he scored twice in the Reds' 3-1 FA Cup Round Five victory back in February.
