Owls v Reds: Post-Match Reaction

30 March 2013

Reds Manager David Flitcroft caught up with Barnsley Player following today's defeat at Hillsborough.

"First half, I was more pleased with getting in nil-nil. On reflection, it was an opportunity missed.

It was two teams waiting, really. We needed more cutting edge.

They scored the goal which wasn't a great goal for us. Reuben's switched off on the track and we've not picked Madine up.

"The second goal is something we've worked on. We didn't stay high or brave enough.

"It was too little, too late. The two goals cost us.

"Reuben's caught it with a thunderbolt. If that goes in - different complexion. But it didn't.

"But I don't do victims, we' won't feel sorry for ourselves.

"Jacob on the ball today was brilliant. He's a goal threat, scorer and provider. I was delighted with Jake's performance today and Perks (David Perkins) backed that up."
