Barnsley Football Club have today completed the signing of French defender Jean-Yves M’voto on a two-year deal.
The towering central-defender, who stands at 6ft 4’’, penned a deal at Oakwell this morning after departing Oldham Athletic this summer.
The 24-year-old made 123 appearances for the Latics – 49 of which were made last term – after joining the Boundary Park side from Sunderland two years ago.
Speaking to Barnsley Player after signing his deal, he said, “I’m very happy to be in Barnsley now. I heard about the move a couple of days ago. I had a talk with the Manager, I like his project and everything he said. I just wanted to come to Barnsley."
Jean-Yves began his career with PSG and crossed the channel to Sunderland in 2008. He appeared on loan for Southend and Oldham before joining the latter on a permanent deal in 2011.
