Reds Manager David Flitcroft caught up with the press following today's pre-season match at Rotherham United.
"At half time we spent 15 minutes going through what the second half should be like and I was delighted with the three goals," said Flitcroft.
"Not necessarily the goals, but the way we did it - the way we dominated and undid them."
Jacob Mellis bagged two excellent strikes before Chris Dagnall's effort with the outside of the boot made it 3-0.
"We gave them loads and loads of problems," he continued. "And then we got sloppy, a bit too over-sure, over-confident.
"We've got a week now to nail it. We'll go through the game tomorrow. We'll show the lads the good, the bad and the excellent.
"Our fitness was great, I'm absolutely buzzing with the fitness. They all got their full 90 minutes in apart from Mells (Jacob Mellis), which I'm absolutely delighted with."
