Reds Manager on Ipswich clash

Reds Manager Dave Flitcroft met with the press ahead of Saturday’s trip to Ipswich Town in the npower Championship.

“After the Leeds game I couldn’t wait to look at the footage on Ipswich and scouting reports,” he said.

“The team (Ipswich) epitomises what Mick’s (McCarthy) like as a person – the commitment, courage and honesty of Mick. It’s something we will have to equally match up.

“The quality we’ve showed in the last three games is something we’ll look to carry on.

“There’s no room for complacency, every day we’re looking to improve and that’s something I’ve stressed to the players.”

The only real injury concern is Jim O’Brien having suffered a severe dead leg against Leeds last week.

“The Doc got a good injection into him (Jim O’Brien),” added Flitcroft. “We’re monitoring that situation. He’s got a good range of movement in his knee. We’re expecting Jim to travel with us tomorrow, so if he comes through training that’s an option.
“Jim McNulty has had a little twinge in his knee, we’re hoping he’ll be okay.”
