An injury time goal on Saturday kept Hull City in the draw after Leyton Orient had taken a 78th minute lead.
The two sides will battle it out next week at Brisbane Road with the winner playing host to Barnsley on the weekend of 26/27 January.
It also means that Barnsley's scheduled home league match against Millwall on Saturday 26th January will have to be rearranged.
