Clark Completes 90 Minutes

27 February 2013

“It’s just nice to get a full game under my belt. They’re a good club with good players. The way they play is very good, passing the ball.

Clark started his only game for the Reds at the end of last season against Brighton, but overcoming the hurdle of a first 90 minutes has really satisfied the youngster.

“It was good to get 90 minutes under my belt,” said Clark, speaking to barnsleyfc.co.uk. “The fans seemed pleased with me and I got a good reaction from everyone including the manager and staff. Hopefully I will start on Saturday against Dagenham."

Reds youngster Jordan Clark made his full debut for Chesterfield last night at the Proact Stadium in a goalless draw with Aldershot.

“My mum, dad, girlfriend, cousin and uncle came to watch they were all really pleased.

“He’s a good guy,” said Clark of Paul Cook, the Chesterfield boss.  “He knows what he’s talking about and he gives us some great information. The backroom staff are great and I’ve had lots of positive feedback from them all.”

The 19-year-old is also pleased to have teamed up with the Spireites who are guided by a good manager who likes to play football.

“I can’t get my head down about not being involved with Barnsley at the minute, I’ll think about next year after I’ve done my best for Chesterfield and hopefully I’ll be in Flicker’s plans for next season.”
