After more than six weeks out injured, defender Peter Ramage met with the press ahead of the Reds’ clash at Burnley on Saturday.
The on-loan Palace defender was delighted to be back in the side, and even more so that the Reds recorded their first away win of the season on Tuesday at Brighton.
“It felt great,” said Ramage. “I was a little bit nervous before the game, I don’t know why because I don’t normally get nervous.
“We kept the ball well and they couldn’t really cope with it.
“As the game progressed, we gained confidence and I gained confidence.
“I felt good, as the game wore on I was tired, as a lot of us were, because we’d put a lot into the game.
“We need points, we need to climb the table. We’ve got to keep this going.”
On Saturday the Reds face Burnley at Turf Moor with Sean Dyche’s side riding high near the top of the table.
“They’re all tough (games),” added Ramage. “But they’re riding high at the minute, playing really well. They’ve got two centre-forwards playing well and scoring goals for fun.
“It might be the fixture we need - no pressure and everybody expecting us to lose.
“Hopefully we can go there and come away with something.”
