“We’re in a good place”, said Micky. “We’ve got bumps and bruises but we’ve got Chris O’Grady and Marcus Pedersen who have trained today – that’s a huge bonus for us so we’re looking in good shape.
“They’ve got through the whole session indoors. They come through it so I’m pleased. They look like they’re going to be ready for the squad.
“You can never have too many quality players in the group and I’m delighted we’ve got two added to that.”
Speaking of Saturday’s opponents Burnley – where Mellon made 94 appearances for the Clarets - Mellon added, “They’ve done very well. They’re very well organised. I know Sean Dyche and he’s got them working very, very hard for each other. We know we’re going to get a very tough game but we’re going in there off the back of a good performance on Tuesday. It’s a good place to go and show how good we are.

“We’re going up there to try and get a result, there’s no doubt about that. We’re going there to trouble Burnley. We know what their threats are but we’ve got plenty of our own. We’re looking forward to getting that confidence back again and looking forward to trying for those three points.
“A win always changes everything. And a good performance always gives the place a lift. I came in this morning and everyone was bouncing, and suddenly the treatment room becomes empty!
“We’ve enjoyed the victory in Brighton, but we’re focussed on Burnley who I know will be tough, but we’ll make it tough for them as well, there’s no doubt about that.”
