Loan Round-Up

16 December 2013

Three of Barnsley’s senior players out on loan were in League One action over the weekend as Jimmy McNulty (Tranmere), Dale Jennings (MK Dons) and Chris Dagnall (Coventry) played their part for their loan clubs.

Defender McNulty has completed 90 minutes of football in all bar one of his 14 appearances for Tranmere – his latest full match at the weekend was a 4-1 defeat at Carlisle.

Chris Dagnall made his second appearance for Coventry City on Saturday, having netted on his début against MK Dons – the team, incidentally, Dale Jennings made his second appearance for as they defeated Wolves 2-0 at Molineux.

Youngsters McCauley Shillito and Brad Abbott helped their respective loan clubs to points over the weekend . Shillito made a 22-minute substitute appearance for Frickley as the Blues earned a point at Buxton in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier and Brad Abbott completed 90 minutes of action to help Harrogate Town to a 4-2 victory over Gloucester City in the Skrill North.

Reuben Noble-Lazarus is currently receiving treatment for an injury, which ruled him out of action for loan club Scunthorpe United - where he has made four appearances (three of which were victories).

Meanwhile, Sam Patterson was an unused substitute for Halifax Town.
