Danny's Bolton Reaction

26 December 2013

Reds Manager Danny Wilson caught up with the press following today's 1-0 defeat to Bolton at Oakwell.

"You've got to take your chances that's key to everything," said Wilson.

"Bolton have taken one of them and got the rewards from it.

"If we can get the first goal we see a totally different team. When you're trying to chase it against a quality team like Bolton they'll pick you off.

"From where we are, it's disappointing we didn't see the game out. If you can't win the game at least come out with something.

"Steeley coming back in has one brilliant today. Considering he's been out a while, he's come in and done well. Both 'keepers have pulled some great saves. A foot or so either side of Lonergan and we could have had a couple.

Danny enjoyed his first game at Oakwell back in charge of the Reds but Neil Danns' fine strike meant defeat to ruin the script.

"We were outdone by a bit of quality," added Danny.

"But it's fantastic that the fans have got behind us. It's the players that's most important. To give the players a boost from the stands give them the boots that they need.

"I have to say a big thank you to the fans, it was fantastic."
