Flitcroft's Huddersfield Reaction

31 August 2013

Reds Manager David Flitcroft caught up with the press following today's Yorkshire derby victory over Huddersfield.

"It was more like us," he said. "There was a real fight about it.

"Second half we had to dig in; there was resolve, determination.

"There was a nervousness and I understand that.

"Reuben's come in today and he was outstanding, I thought he was brilliant.

"It was a good team performance. We'll stick to the plan and see how far it takes us. The plan is over 46 league games. I want to see this team improve.

"We beat them and we beat them well today."

It could have been 3-1 and wrapped up had Jean-Yves M'voto finished off from distance in front of an open goal, "It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen," smiled Flitcroft. "He was charging down like a madman.

"He's sat in there shaking his head and he's gutted!"
