Reuben Noble-Lazarus and Andrai Jones filled in at either full-back position and Flitcroft was full of praise for the duo, “The two young boys are a credit to this club the way they came in and performed.” He added.
“That performance is from a group of players who have responded incredibly over the last few days.
“We’re still in the fight. Before the game we knew we needed two wins and we still need two wins.
“They’re (Derby) going to apply that pressure, they put their centre-half up there and we’ve not dealt with the second ball.
“We raised the game second half and were a credit to this club.
“I don’t think people realise what it takes to play in this game after you’ve been smashed 6-0 in front of your own fans.
“I thought it was an incredible stirring performance, especially second half,” said Flitcroft.
