Flitcroft on Palace Point

6 April 2013

Reds Manager David Flitcroft caught up with the press following today's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
“There’s been a lot of pressure on the club and the fact we’ve not beaten the bottom teams,” said Flitcroft. "It’s against the top teams as well that we can’t fear. There’s a lot of anxiety and pressure coming to these clubs.

“We aimed to get to half time goalless; we did that.

“I wanted my players to wear the Barnsley badge, because that’s what we play for. But a kit’s a kit. It’s about the football. It’s always about the football.

“I think the experience of the day, our two (Hassell and Foster) marshalled them well. Having experienced heads in there helped us with crosses raining in for Murray and Wilbraham."
