Flitcroft on Defeating Hull City

27 April 2013

Reds Manager David Flitcroft caught up with Barnsley Player following today's magnificent victory over Hull City.

"This team has come up against top sides and it's beaten top sides. It had everything a top side need. We had a great quality about ourselves and it was a great team performance.

"A lot of people have made a lot about what their (Hull) mindset might be. We had to concentrate on our mindset. I put up a brilliant team, very hard working, and at times we've really opened them up.

"You don't just hear the noise now, you're feeling the noise. It's another special memory. The fans are enjoying coming to Oakwell and seeing them performances. It's a two-way street, there's no doubt about that.

"Wow - for someone who's been out. He's looked fresh. We've had injuries, suspensions and we've got through them. The Tuesday-Saturdays have been difficult. But I saw an energy about our work.

"Loan signings, sometimes you get three-quarters commitment. Rory Delap and Chris O'Grady are fully committed - they've been incredible."
