‘Proud’ Rose Pens Contract Extension

12 September 2012

Youngster extends Oakwell stay...

Rose, who turns 19 this December, has made five appearances so far for the first team – two of which were starts against Reading and Brighton last season.

“It’s my boyhood dream to stay with my local club,” Rose told barnsleyfc.co.uk. “I’m Barnsley through and through and every time I pull on the shirt it makes me proud. I’m looking forward to working hard on the training pitch and developing my game.”

Having signed a professional deal as a first-year scholar, the now-18-year-old proved lethal at youth level in the final third with his tenacious style and clinical nature.

Barnsley striker Danny Rose has penned a one-year contract extension at Oakwell, keeping him at the club until at least the summer of 2014.
