Reds striker eager to kick on
Reds striker Chris Dagnall may not have hit the net on Saturday, but his performance didn’t leave anything to be desired. Here, the 26-year-old caught up with the press ahead of Saturday’s match at home to Ipswich.
“It was overdue,” said Dagnall of Saturday’s win at Birmingham. “The five goals was what we deserved. We’re looking to push on over the next couple of games at home.
“To me last season was a write-off. I have nothing to look back on. I’ve got my head down and worked hard over the summer. I got myself a couple of goals at the start of the season, worked hard and I’ve stayed there.
“These are two massive games (Ipswich and Peterborough). We’ve got to be looking at taking maximum points to put us in a good position. The performances in the last two away games have been spot on, it’s all come together and we’ve got to keep working.”
