Stones will have 'great career' - Cranie
One of Barnsley’s newest recruits, Martin Cranie, has tipped young defender John Stones to have a great career.
“I’ve been very impressed with what I’ve seen from him so far,” said Cranie of the 18-year-old. “Obviously he’s got his England call-up and from what I’ve seen of him he’s done very well. He did very well on Saturday against the lad (Tom) Ince. If he keeps progressing I’m sure he’ll have a great career.
“He’s good on the ball, he can run with the ball. He’s got a good engine in him, he can head, he can pass. If he keeps working on everything I think he’ll be a great player.
“There are a lot of young lads here with a lot of talent, they just need to keep their heads down and keep working.”
