Tudgay on Joining Barnsley

15 November 2012

Marcus Tudgay talked to the media about his loan move to Barnsley Football Club ahead of the Bolton Wanderers match.

"I'm definitely looking forward to getting match time here," said Tudgay. "It's a great opportunity to come here and there is a great set of lads here and I'm raring to go.

"Coming here heads are high and everyone looks happy. Hopefully I can come here get some goals and wins and help lift the morale higher.

"I'll do what I do best, work hard for the team and get the goals if I can, but more importantly get the three points.

"I played on Tuesday against Derby and felt better than I thought I would. Since the operation I have felt good, it feels like I've got a new body so I'm ready to go.

"For me to come to here, get match fitness, get goals, to play well, to help Barnsley it sets me in good stead. I'll be giving 100 per cent while I'm here.

"The loan is the the 3rd of January so I have a good ten games to look forward to.

"Every time I have come across Barnsley they have passed us off the pitch. All it takes is to ignite something and the goals will come from myself, Marlon, Craig and the others."

"A goal would be great at the weekend, but the most important thing is getting three points."
