Forest have the option to recall the striker after 28 days, should they wish.

Tudgay joined Forest from Sheffield Wednesday initially on loan, before completing a permanent switch to the City Ground in January 2011. At 5 ft. 9”, Tudgay poses a threat in the air despite not dominating in stature. He began his career with Derby County and hit 18 goals in 99 appearances for the Rams before heading to Hillsborough. In just over 200 appearances for the Owls he struck 50 goals.

The 29-year-old has penned a loan deal at Oakwell until January 3rd, 2013.

Barnsley have now completed the loan signing of striker Marcus Tudgay from Nottingham Forest.
