The Reds Honours The Fighting & Fallen

7 November 2012

Special edition this Saturday

This Saturday a special edition of The Reds has been commissioned to honour those who have fought, fallen and still fight to this day for our country, as part of Remembrance weekend.

It boasts a front cover of FA Cup winning hero and later soldier Wilfred Bartrop - who tragically lost his life days before the end of the First World War - and we profile several other Reds players who served their country in the war.

As well as all the regular pre-match coverage, including the history of Barnsley v Huddersfield, the Terriers' players and past captains, we've also included an interview with Rob Hawthorne - the man who commentated to millions for Sky on Darren Barnard's famous strike against our Yorkshire Rivals little less than 14 years ago.

What's more, O-Publishing, our matchday magazine publishers, have very kindly agreed to donate a percentage of each programme sold to Help for Heroes. So not only will you own a little piece of commemorative Barnsley memorabilia, but you will also be helping those who have served our country.

Members of the Armed Forces are also entitled to match tickets for just £10 for this Saturday's Yorkshire Derby.
