Hill's Thoughts on Clarets Point

27 November 2012

Post-match reaction

Reds Manager Keith Hill caught up with the press following tonight's 1-1 draw with Burnley at Oakwell.

“I think he’s in a good place at the minute and he’ll have got a lot of belief out of that performance.”

“He’s been a lot of places, Reuben, and I’m glad he’s decided to bounce.

“I didn’t tell him yesterday he was playing,” said Hill. “It probably would have scared him to death! He probably overthinks. He’s got to relax and play football. Sometimes when you reach rock bottom, what do you do? Do you just feel sorry for yourself? Reuben’s decided he needs to bounce and he can bounce high.

Reuben Noble-Lazarus put in a superb performance, and Hill praised the winger for his bouncebackability.

“He’s been brilliant,” said Hill. “He’s got experience and he’s got more to offer and I’m pleased with his performance.”

Marcus Tudgay opened up his Reds account and Hill was delighted with the Forest loanee’s all-round display.

“Progress, definitely. I’ll wake up tomorrow and I’ll look at the Prozone stats, it won’t reflect the score-line. That’s where it’s pretty frustrating for me, but I’m a firm believer in what we’re trying to achieve.”

“It’s progress - Jonathan Greening, Akos Buzsaky today I thought they were magnificent, so was Marcus Tudgay.

"Performance-wise, I’m very happy. Result, having been one-nil down against from a set-play, I’ll settle for it.

“What we’re all focused on and what we all have to achieve is the end result.

“The lads responded absolutely superbly and I’m pleased with the performance. I’m pleased with a lot of aspects of our game.

“We conceded two at the weekend and then we conceded from another corner tonight,” said Hill.
