Reds squad visit hospital
Management and playing staff at Barnsley Football Club yesterday visited the Children's ward at Barnsley Hospital to spread a little Christmas cheer.
The first team manager, Keith Hill, encouraged the players to raise enough money to help the Children’s Ward get the televisions and portable DVD players in a bid to help make the childrens’ stay in hospital a little easier.
Keith Hill, commenting at Barnsley Hospital said, "Christmas is a time for everyone. The kids here need support and the parents also need supporting.
"Your health is your wealth and I think it's important to support the local community and hospital, especially at this time.
"It also helps bring a bit of perspective and reality away from football and to see what other people have to go through. We've all got families and children and the kids are our future and need our protection."
