Reds midfielder Stephen Dawson was pleased to hit his second Barnsley goal yet gutted the lads couldn’t hold on to the points at Leicester City on Saturday.
“It’s not really about goals for me, it’s about the team,” said Dawson. “It fell nicely to me and I took it well but I just wanted to get back into the game.
“I think we can be proud of ourselves. We went a goal down and everybody must have thought ‘here we go again’. But the whole team dug deep.
“I thought we matched them for large amounts of the game.
“Okay, we were holding on at times, Luke Steele was outstanding. But we had a few chances ourselves and we could have even nicked it at the end.”
Turning his attention towards this Saturday’s massive South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday, Dawson added.
“We’ve stuck together and we believe in what we’re trying to do.
“It’s three points up for grabs, no matter what team you’re playing.
“Every game is massive for us. Hopefully we can turn things around and start to push up this league.”
