Hill pleased with display against Swans
Reds boss Keith Hill told the press he was pleased with his side’s efforts against Premier League Swansea despite going out of the League Cup at the second hurdle following a 3-1 loss.
“I needed an encouraging performance,” said Hill. “We got the performance but the score certainly doesn’t reflect that.
“We’re guilty of shooting ourselves in the foot as we did last season.
“All three goals were avoidable. They’re an excellent, possession-based side. I thought we showed a lot of courage tonight.
“We’ve got to show pride in the shirt, show pride in our performances for the Barnsley supporters. We didn’t do that on Saturday which left me very low. There were some very good performances out there.”
