Reds boss: 'He deserves it'

“I’m pleased with his progress. A Manager’s job, as well as developing players, is to protect the interests of the football club by resigning obvious assets of the club. I’m pleased for Diggers, he deserves it. It’s a reflection of the progress he’s made and the club’s making. Its important we retain our assets.”

“I’m really pleased for Diggers (Paul Digby),” Hill told barnsleyfc.co.uk.

The 17-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a deal to keep him with the Reds until at least the summer of 2015.

Reds boss Keith Hill caught up with barnsleyfc.co.uk after the news that youngster Paul Digby had penned a contract extension at Oakwell.
