Reds boss delighted with win
Reds Manager Keith Hill gave his thoughts to the media following his side's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at Oakwell.
“I think the performance merited the result,” said Hill. “I can understand the last 10 minutes of the game from an energy point of view.
“Their goalkeeper made excellent saves to deny Craig Davies the hat-trick ball.
“We worked hard for each other and we created opportunities. I’m over the moon with the players’ efforts but their intelligent energy as well.
“We expected to have to withstand some sort of momentum of the opposition and that happened in the last 10 minutes. But we should have put the game to bed.
“(Jim) McNulty won’t feature before the international break and Matty Done is out for two to four week. We lost Paul Digby in the warm up as well so we’re losing numbers.”
