Our U18s make the short trip to Sheffield United this weekend in a top of the table clash.
The young Reds currently sit at the Professional Development League summit – 13 points clear of their South Yorkshire rivals – and will be aiming to put even more distance between themselves and the Blades.
Only Charlton Athletic (54) and Millwall (50) have scored more goals than Nicky Eaden’s side this term, with our youngsters finding the net on 46 occasions having played two games less than their southern counterparts.
Solidity at the back has been a key factor in our U18s’ success this term as they boast the second best defensive record across the PDL, with only Sheffield United conceding fewer, albeit in three less matches.
The last time our young Reds met the Blades was back in October where a late Rafael Monteiro penalty secured all three points in a 2-1 victory.
Kick-off for this encounter is at 11am and takes place at the Sheffield United Football Academy, Firshill Crescent.
