CAULEY WOODROW

Signed in the summer of 2018 from Premier League outfit Fulham, initially on a loan deal, Woodrow has bags of experience for his relatively young age having played over 100 games in the top flight and second tier.

An England U21 international, Cauley came to Oakwell and immediately found his form in front of goal, with the Reds making his move a permanent one in January of 2019.

Finishing the season tied on 19 goals with Kieffer Moore, the goals of Woodrow were key as the Reds sealed automatic promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

And the number 9 would quickly find his feet back in the second tier, firing in nine goals in the first half of the 2019/20 season with a number of stunning strikes from long-range.

Woodrow was often deployed in a deeper role by Gerhard Struber but continued to find the net, playing a key role in helping the Reds to Championship safety, ending the season with 15 goals and once again becoming the club's top goalscorer.

His 2020/21 campaign again saw him amongst the goals, and once more he was asked to operate in numerous positions by Valérien Ismaël.

Another 15 goals were plundered as he helped fire the Reds to the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.

His 2021/22 season was blighted by injury, after initially being appointed captain. Woodrow missed four months of a campaign that saw Barnsley relegated back to the third tier.
