A year's work at the Study Centre culminated with a presentation in the Legends Suite attended by Diego Leon and Hugo Colace.

The Study Centre at Barnsley Football Club have been ensuring that as many children as possible have the chance to develope themselves further through the Aiming for Success initiative. This year's children were no exception as they all achieved much in the field of English and Maths.

Jean Wyatt, who co-ordinates the education at the Study Centre, kicked off the evening praising the children for their hard work and with the help of Diego Leon and Hugo Colace presented the children with something in recognition of their efforts.

There were a number of special awards for children who had made particularly huge strides in their time during the six week course.

After the event Jean Wyatt commented, "The children were all very excited to meet the players which was clearly evident after the presentations when both Diego and Hugo were mobbed by them, keen to get an autograph and a personal photograph.

"Diego and Hugo were absolutely fantastic throughout and showed themselves to be great ambassadors for the club and I am grateful for their help by making the presentation a night to remember for the children.

"All the children made good improvement during the course in English and Math, but more than that, it was their enthusiasm and willingness to learn that has come on leaps and bounds. I have also observed that their confidence and self-esteem has increased and that can only bode well for their future education."
