BARNSLEY FC are delighted that the 2011/2012 season kicks off with the club sponsorsed by four local companies. It is a significant boost to Barnsley Football Club and is a clear endorsement of the commercial value of being closely involved with the foremost brand in the town.
MAIN CLUB SPONSOR & SOUTH STAND SPONSOR - CK BECKETT
CK Beckett, sponsors of the South Stand for the last three seasons, extended their commitment to the Club by signing a six-figure, three-year deal in 2011 to become the Official Principal Sponsors of Barnsley Football Club until 2014.
CK Beckett, formed in 1984 is a leading company for the recycling of large-scale industrial transformers and electrical switchgear in the UK. They have a dominant position within this marketplace and are a recognised leader in their field of expertise.
CK Beckett's first major involvement with Barnsley Football Club was in 2008 when they sponsored the shorts for the FA Cup semi-final match against Cardiff City at Wembley. Since then their support towards the club has gone from strength to strength and they became South Stand sponsors in the summer of 2008.
In addition to the South Stand sponsorship which clearly delivers their company message of 'Supporting Sport in the Community', CK Beckett are regular match sponsors in the Legends Suite at Oakwell where they entertain business colleagues.
CLUB SPONSOR - PERRYS
Perrys Barnsley, home of Vauxhall in Barnsley, extended their shirt sponsorship for a fifth, consecutive year from 2011
PERRYS of Barnsley kicked off the 2005/2006 season as one of the Club's main sponsors seeing their company logo appear on the rear of the Reds shirts. This deal has continued through the 2006/2007, 2007/2008 season and beyond. Perrys, of Claycliffe Road, Barnsley, are one of the largest car dealers in the area specialising in Citroen and Vauxhall. Perrys of Barnsley is the 2008 AM Award Large Dealership of the Year.
Their long-term association with Barnsley Football Club highlights the value that local businesses derive from sponsoring the Club.
CLUB SPONSOR - DIMENSIONS
Local company, Dimensions Hairdressing, put pen-to-paper on a new deal in 2011 that saw their major involvement in Barnsley Football Club extend to seven years - the longest current standing sponsors of the Reds.
Dimensions will continue to sponsor the Academy and the Corner Stand for the next three years. The new deal comes at an excellent time with the Barnsley Academy having had a brilliant season on the pitch playing giants such as Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The company originates back to 1973 when the first salon was opened in Peel Street Arcade in Barnsley.
Now with salons in Barnsley and Wakefield and Training Academies throughout Yorkshire in York, Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley and Sheffield, Dimensions has grown to become one of the best known names in hairdressing in Yorkshire. The day-to-day running of the business is still managed by the Shaw family, with Bill founder of the company assuming responsibility for the Training Division, while Bill & Bernadette's daughter Tina takes care of managing the salons.
So 38 years on, Dimensions continues to go from strength to strength with three generations of the Shaw family embarking on careers in hairdressing.

Scaffold Services UK Limited signed a three-year deal in 2011 to become the shorts sponsors of Barnsley Football Club.
Scaffold Services started up business four years ago in Wombwell, Barnsley and have recently moved to keep pace with their expanding business. They have recently signed some major new contracts and the business has diversified into the thermal insulation sector which has grown at a fast pace. Scaffold Services UK Limited have also started to expand their business operations in other European countries.
