REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts ahead of the clash with Coventry City.

Simon said: "Sam Togwell is set to join Scunthorpe United this week. Sam has been on the transfer list since the summer and had the chance to go to Yeovil last week but that move never came to fruition. Scunthorpe came in and expressed an interest in Sam and hopefully that will be done before the weekend.

"At the moment we are very happy with the squad of players we have here. We brought in Maceo Rigters last week and we will go now with what we have got.

"At the moment we still have the three cruciate lads out injured. Marciano Van Homoet has a groin strain and would not play with weekend anyway; Bobby Hassell has rocked his ankle in training and is a big doubt and Mounir El Haimour's injury is a little worse than we first thought and he will not be involved.

"Jamal Campbell-Ryce has had a little setback after an x-ray showed that he has a small fracture in his ankle. He will be in plaster for three weeks and then we will look to have him back after that. It could be a week or so longer because we will have to get him back up to speed.

"The lads have responded very well after the defeat at Crewe. We had a fantastic performance at QPR and should have come back with something. At Crewe we had enough of the ball, enough of the play and enough chances to get something. We did not finish them off. We have let in four goals this season and they have all come through set pieces or penalties so that is something we have to work on and iron out.

"Coventry have a new manager and some new players. We saw them against Aldershot and they will come here on the back of two wins. They are a decent side and have some firepower in their team. We are confident of getting all three points on Saturday but we have to ensure we are solid at the back. We need to win the game. We need to score goals and need to finish teams off. We also need to cut out basic errors at the back and concentrate more on set plays. That is something we have to bring to our game this weekend.

"Coventry have two strikers who can finish so we will have to be alert all game. We have not been able to have a settled side at all through pre-season and through the first two games. We have to start well at home and get a good result. We had a great record here last season which would have put us in the promotion chaser. We have to build on that and make this place a fortress.

"It is frustrating that we cannot yet call on Hugo (Colace). Hopefully we will have international clearance by the weekend. All the documentation has gone to FIFA and they have set the Argentinean FA a deadline of Friday to get it sorted. Hopefully we will have some good news about that.

"We have had Bobby Hassell in there for the last few months and, although he has done very well for us, he is a defender. We need to have extra players in that position and we need to have Hugo available. We have Heinz Muller, Anderson De Silva, Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Hugo Colace out of the team at the moment and all of them arguably probably start".
