OFFICIAL Barnsley FC Travel Partner Thomas Cook asked you to join in their campaign last January and sign a petition to vote for a free day.

The three month long campaign was a great success, and we're delighted to bring you news of how things are progressing.

Thanks to all those that voted, representatives from Thomas Cook were able to march up to the front door at Number 10 recently and present half a million supporting signatures!

Simon Carter, Executive Director Marketing, said: "We asked the nation to join us by signing our petition - and we were overwhelmed by the response".

More than 50 MP's joined the Thomas Cook representatives at a reception held in the House of Commons, gathering yet more political support for the campaign.
