BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins has made Manchester City full back Kieran Trippier his eighth summer signing on the eve of the 2010/2011 npower Championship season.
The 20-year-old returned to Oakwell and re-joined the Club on loan until January, with a view to extending the deal.
Kieran is a product of Manchester City's Academy and played a key role in the Eastlands' side's FA Youth Cup success in 2008. Still only 20, it is his second spell at Oakwell after joining the club on a short-term loan last season - impressing during his three matches for the Reds.
Kieran enjoyed a fine start to the 2010/2011 npower Championship season, capped by a debut call up to the England U21 squad for the Euro Play Offs against Romania in October 2010.
