BARNSLEY boss Mark Robins beat a host of clubs to win the race for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Jason Shackell in May 2010.
The 26-year-old penned a three-year contract with the Reds after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for his services.
A product of the youth set up at Norwich, Jason came up through the ranks at Carrow Road before making 133 first team appearances for the Canaries - including eleven in the Premier League during 2004/2005.
He made the move to Wolves in September 2008, featuring 14 times in the Molineux side's Championship title winning campaign. Jason ended the 2008/2009 campaign back on loan at Norwich, where he impressed again during 14 appearances.
He spent most of the 2009/2010 campaign on loan at Doncaster Rovers and played a massive part in Rovers' excellent Championship season with 23 appearances for the Keepmoat Stadium side.
