YOUNGSTER Luke Potter could hand the Reds a boost in the next week by returning to training following surgery.

The defender picked up a knee problem playing for the reserves back in mid-August but could be in full training next week.

Reds physio Chris Burton told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Luke has done really, really well. He is working extremely hard and could go back in very soon. He is a little ahead of schedule and is two weeks post op so it is a big boost for him".
