THE Football League has donated online ad space throughout its FL Interactive (FLi) network to help raise awareness for the DEC's Pakistan appeal.
FLi is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Football League, managing and developing the internet and mobile rights of The Football League and 82 participating clubs.
An estimated six million children are at risk of malnutrition, diarrhoea and pneumonia as unprecedented super-floods inundate Pakistan. As flood waters rush south through Sindh and southern Punjab, DEC agencies are warning that as the polluted waters hits densely populated urban areas in the south, where poverty levels are even higher than in the north, the health risks to children are huge.
The true scale of destruction of agricultural land, homes, sewage systems, schools and livelihood is not yet known, but the UN is appealing for £290m to help fund its efforts alongside the Pakistan government in coming months.

Commenting on the donation of the ad space, Zesh Rehman, Captain of Bradford City Football Club and Pakistan international footballer, said: "I am delighted that The Football League is supporting the DEC's Pakistan appeal. I urge all football fans to support this appeal - together we can make a difference."
Gavin Megaw, Director of External Affairs at The Football League, said: "The Football League is pleased to be working with the DEC to raise awareness of this emergency appeal. We hope our small gesture helps to raise awareness of the vital effort to raise much needed funds for the people of Pakistan."
The DEC raises funds for its member agencies which have now distributed aid to more than 500,000 people affected by the flooding.
To make a donation to the DEC Pakistan appeal call the 24 hour hotline on 0370 60 60 900, visit http://www.dec.org.uk or donate over the counter at any post office or high street bank, or send a cheque. You can also donate £5 by texting the word GIVE to 70707.
