BARNSLEY'S youngsters continued their pre-season preparations with a resounding 4-0 success against Scunthorpe United this afternoon.
Jordan Clarke, Steven Bennett, Danny Rose and Jordan McLeod grabbed the goals in a fine display by Ronnie Branson's young side.
Ronnie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "The lads did very, very well this afternoon. We were a little disappointed with our performance in Friday's 1-1 draw at Sheffield FC but they have bounced back well today.
"We had three first year pros in with us to get some game time and Danny Fearnehough, Steven Bennett and Alastair Taylor all played 60 minutes. It was a good performance. We passed it well and controlled possession for long periods of the game. Jordan Clarke opened the scoring in the first half with a very good goal; Steven Bennett added a second after the break before we made nine changes to the side in the second half. Danny Rose and Jordan McLeod also got on the scoresheet to cap a very pleasing performance".
