HEARTBREAK FOR EX RED

IT was heartbreak for former Reds defender Suad Filekovic as Landon Donovan's late, late winner meant Slovenia failed to snatch a place in the last 16 in South Africa.

Although beaten by England this afternoon, Slovenia had looked all set to claim second place in the group but for the USA's last-gasp victory over Algeria.

Filekovic, who had a spell at Oakwell last season, was an unused substitute for Slovenia this afternoon.
