REDS skipper Stephen Foster has set his targets high ahead of the new campaign.
Stephen told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "This is a big season and one I am determined to find consistency in. I have spent my career in the lower half of the Championship and I want to push on.
"Just look at Blackpool. I want a taste of that and to be part of a successful team here. That is what I am looking for.
"We beat Blackpool twice last season and individually you have to ask whether they had a better squad than us? They achieved a lot more and that is what we want".
With pre-season just a few days away, the Reds skipper is ready to get right back at it.
Stephen added: "The summer has been great. You do not get much time off through the season and time at home tends to be a little sporadic so I have really enjoyed being with my family and my little boy. We have been given a programme to do through June and I have tried to stick to that as strictly as possible. You know that any work done in the summer will stand you in good stead when you start pre-season.
"The fixtures are out now and everybody is really looking forward to the first game at Queens Park Rangers. There is a little deja vu there because we had the same game the other year but I will settle for that one first. It is always a difficult place to go and it will be a good test for us. I am sure that we will be more than prepared for it".
