BARNSLEY'S past and present will swap their boots for microphones as they talk about faith and football at an event in the town next weekend.
Darren Moore will join former Oakwell striker Bruce Dyer at International City Church, which meets every Sunday evening at the Holiday Inn, formerly Brooklands.
Darren, a rock at the back for the Reds this term, will give his thoughts on the season so far, as well as telling stories about his football career, which has seen him play almost 100 Premier League games. He will be joined at the event, on March 21 at 6pm, by Oakwell legend Bruce Dyer. Bruce, the first £1million teenager in British football, scored 57 goals in 181 appearances for the Reds.
International City Church leader Grayson Jones said: "It's going to be a great night. Darren is a current hero amongst the Barnsley fans and Bruce is a legend with all the goals he scored here. They both have great stories of how, despite playing at the highest level in English footballer, they maintained a devotion to Christianity."
At the event, there will be a free draw for a Barnsley home shirt signed by the whole first team squad and both Darren and Bruce will be available for photos and autographs.
