HAMMILL'S STRIKE GETS THE NOD

BARNSLEY winger Adam Hammill's superb 25-yard strike against Derby County at Pride Park has been nominated as the Club's Mitre Goal of the Year 2009.

The goal will now be entered in the Mitre Goal of the Year category at the 2010 Football League Awards, incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players.

The goals from each of the 72 Football League clubs will be whittled down to five shortlisted nominees by the presenters and viewers of Soccer AM, ahead of the awards in March. Watch Soccer AM from early February to take part in the vote. The winner will be decided at the Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Sunday March 14, 2010.
