FORMER Barnsley skipper Brian Howard played his part in another night of FA Cup magic at Anfield as Reading came from behind to snatch a superb victory against Liverpool.

Trailing after Ryan Bertrand deflected Steven Gerrard's hopeful cross into his own net, Reading staged a fine comeback to level in stoppage time with a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty. The Royals, who are struggling in the Championship, then won the game in extra time with a Shane Long header.

Howard was a second half substitute in the game, replacing Khalifa Cisse just before the hour mark.
