NOTTINGHAM Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp was celebrating today after being named Coca-Cola Championship Player of the Month for December 2009.

Camp was in outstanding form in December, conceding just a single goal to help his side record four wins and two draws from their six league fixture. The 'keeper's run of clean sheets has been instrumental in Forest's rise up the table and they now head into the New Year with an automatic promotion place in the Coca-Cola Championship firmly in their sights.

Also short-listed for the December award were Chris Burke of Cardiff City, Billy Sharp of Doncaster Rovers and Swansea City's Darren Pratley.

Jermaine Beckford of Leeds United won the award in League One and Rochdale's Craig Dawson was given the League Two accolade.

The decision to present the Coca-Cola Championship Player of the Month award was made by the Coca-Cola Player of the Month awards panel which includes former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, Steve Bates, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation and Steve Watts, Marketing Assets Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
