BARNSLEY striker Kayode Odejayi will complete a permanent move to Colchester United when the transfer window opens on January 1, 2010.

Kayode has been on loan at the League One high flyers since September and has his seven goals in 17 games for Aidy Bothroyd's side.

The two Clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for the ex-Cheltenham Town striker and the paperwork has been completed ahead of his switch at the start of January.

Kayode joined the Reds in 2007 and has gone on to make 82 first team appearances. He wrote his name into Oakwell folklore in March 2008 when his headed goal dumped holders Chelsea out of the FA Cup and booked a Wembley semi final for the Reds.
