POST MATCH REACTION FROM GLANFORD PARK

Posted on: Mon 04 Jan 2010

BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins gave his thoughts following today's FA Cup woe at Glanford Park.

Mark said: "I am disappointed because we wanted a cup run this year but it was not going to be today. We came into the game on a good run but never really got going. We could have still had something today.

"We just have to be better than that today and we dipped below the standards we have set. We have to be better than that.

"We were well off it today and if you dip from your standards than that is what can happen. I am looking for positives but it is hard because we wanted to progress in this competition.

"Maybe there was some misguided and misplaced over confidence from them today and this game can kick you in the teeth when you think like that. We still should have won it even though we dipped from the standards we have set. We did not work hard enough today and Scunthorpe did".
