McCANN PLEASED WITH POINT

Posted on: Thu 10 Dec 2009

SCUNTHORPE United midfielder Grant McCann gave his thougths following last night's draw at Oakwell.

McCann told Scunthorpe-United.co.uk: "It was a good result. The lads wanted to come here and make sure we didn't get beaten. We haven't been at our best away from home so that was important for us. We tried to keep a clean sheet but they went and scored a decent goal, so for us to come back the way we did showed fantastic character. We equalised so quickly and maybe could have won it at the end through Garry Thompson.

"To be honest, we were disappointed in the changing rooms because we could have won the game in the end.  We did really well in the second half, but Barnsley are a team on the up right now and it's a good away point".
