PETERBOROUGH IS MORE IMPORTANT - ANDERSON

Posted on: Fri 30 Oct 2009

BARNSLEY midfielder Anderson de Silva is ready for the biggest game of the week at Peterborough on Saturday.

Anderson told Barnsley Player: "We had the right mentality against Manchester United and really went to win the game. We just could not get that goal.

"The league is all important and we need to make sure we stay in this division this season and then push on.

"Playing against Manchester United was a difficult game. They got the first goal and defended. We had a lot of chances and if we had put one away we would have changed the match.

"The Manchester United game has gone now. Peterborough is more important for us and we need to get more points.

"We have great spirit and we have been solid as a team. We can push on and do even better".
