POST MATCH REACTION FROM OAKWELL

Posted on: Wed 30 Sep 2009

BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins gave his thoughts following tonight's outstanding team performance against West Brom.

Mark said: "It was a great performance and a great result. We were everything that we have spoken about during the week and I am delighted.

"It was not a hammering at Queens Park Rangers and we knew that we had to tighten certain things up. We attacked them well tonight and I am very pleased.

"I am really pleased with the way they responded to that defeat. That performance has been coming for a while. We knew that things just needed tweaking and hopefully we can be more consistent now.

"I am delighted for Iain Hume. He has worked extremely hard for me and just needed a goal. The supporters love him here.

"We are not getting carried away but it was a real professional performance. We are out of the bottom three but that will mean nothing if we spoil it on Saturday".
