SWANSEA CITY: EARLY SWANS TEAM NEWS

Posted on: Fri 18 Sep 2009

SWANSEA City manager Paulo Sousa could have an embarrassment of riches as he brings his Swans side to Oakwell on Saturday.

Angel Rangel and Garry Monk are back following suspension but could face a battle to get back into the side after decent displays in recent games by Jazz Richards and Alan Tate. Leon Britton might also return to the starting eleven after sitting out the draw against Bristol City while Darren Pratley and Stephen Dobbie are missing.

Joe Allen started against City and looks set to keep his place in the side but Ferrie Bodde, Jordi Lopez and Andrea Orlandi are all making strong cases to play against Barnsley. Mark Gower should shake off an ankle problem to play.

Gorka Pintado is back in contention after suspension while Craig Beattie and Lee Trundle are also pushing. It could be difficult for Sousa to pick his first eleven on Saturday.
